I Bought A Gun

A few things, regarding that post. I seem to be pretty full of myself. Yep. I no longer see anything wrong with keeping a loaded gun in your house. If you have kids, it needs to be IMPOSSIBLE for them to hurt themselves or anyone else with it. Gunsafe, Lock, hide it, whatever. Don't think your kids don't go through your stuff when you're not there. They do.
My first gun, just over 3 years past that post, is a Walther P22. Linkage.
I chose the P22 for a variety of reasons. First, I'm not real sure what large caliber gun I want. It's a .22 lr, which means it shoots tiny bullets. So they are cheap, and you can buy a lot of them. Like 500 for 14 bucks or so. A .22 is the size of gun I always shot with my father at the range, so I'm pretty familiar with it. So while I shoot it, and talk to others, I can decide if I want a 9mm or a .45 or what.
Not to mention it looks pretty cool.
Conceal and Carry
I don't have my CCW yet, but I'm looking into it. The Wiki page, if you read it, says that the P22 is not usually chosen for CCW. (Conceal Carry Weapon) I guess it's due to the small caliber of the bullet. But that's fine for me. I don't want to kill anyone anyway. If I have to shoot someone, I think they will be dissuaded from bothering me anyway. A hit from a .22 is better than a miss from a .45 any day. I guess I won't be able to kill a bear with it, but I don't [really] plan to. It's a training gun, and a self defense weapon. If the zombies come, I have access to a lot of other firearms right now, so I'm not that skeered.
Good Shooting (cheers,)
