Milkman...

Here's a pretty good link. It takes a long time to load, but it's worth it.

I'd put a disclaimer on the content, but I'm pretty sure that's what 704D stands for. That or some odd fertility thing.

The Art of Genius

I just finished taking apart my brand new XBOX 360 and repairing it. Re-read that last sentence.

Weird Webmaster Stuff

SO as the webmaster of the best pirate website on the internet, some really odd shit happens to me. There was the email I got from some fly-by-night comedy website requesting a link trade arrangement. No thanks, bud. Then there was the time I got harassed while I was at Uncle Sams Army Surplus where I got a call on my cell phone from a Canadian web hosting firm. No thanks. When the girl's boss contacted me the next day telling me what a fool I was for ignoring this great oppertunity, I asked him if he had ever seen the site and then told him to go to hell and leave me alone.

Today, I got this:

Hey there 704d

I spent about 10 minutes searching the site and sure enough, there on page 7 or so of 8 pages of random links (I finally figured out it was alphabetized (sp?)) there was a link to the start page. http://www.704d.com/start .

Obviously it's a cry for the Captain's attention. There is no button, mention, or anything whatsoever to do with Black Sabbath on my website. As far as I know. Not that I don't like Black Sabbath. I do. But that's really all I have to say about them as well.

Anyone know what's up with that?

NaBloPoMo Nockoff

NaBloPoMo Nockoff

So there it is. mark your times, kids. I started this as soon as I finished the last post. I don't have anything against really rrreeeeaaallllllyyy long acronyms, but I do love paintball.

NaPaintBalMo

SO I elected to opt out of NaBloPoMo for a variety of reasons. One, obviously is my inherent urge to say "fuck off" when an order is given to me. I HAVE to post something every day? Blow me. Second, and more rationally is the fact that I can't even post weekly, much less every damn day. I am already late enought to work as it is. I do feel left out though, and Candy I am so on your ass. So I am starting NaPaintBalMo which basically means this is national paintball month as it marks the end of the season proper for us midwesterners. That's it. No banners, no fancy buttons. Wait, I smell a knockoff coming on...

OKAY! What else? Ah yes, Paintball, what else. New Designz trigger. I wrote a little about it, and sunday I got to smoke some suckers with it. It's awesome. The flat profile allows me to be in optimal firing position no matter how much up or down my gun has shifted. Also, it is useful when shooting at funny angles. No matter where my hand is it's [the trigger] always right where it needs to be. The bearing makes the action very smooth and there is no side-to-side wobble. It makes the gun feel very nice instead of cheap like the stock plastic trigger. there are also 4 different adjustments, so you can make the action as tight or sloppy as you would like. Mine is set very tight, with about 2mm of travel making it as hair of a trigger as it can be. You can't actually set it off by blowing on it, but it feels like you could. The only problem I had with it is one of the screws would back themselves out disallowing triggering of the board (internal computer controlled solenoid) form the vibrations of the trigger. I put a drop of Loctite on it and when it cured there has been no problem as of yet.

Note: there are 2 kinds of Loctite. One is permanent [red], and the other is not[blue]. I highly reccommend NOT using the permanent stuff. EVER. I have just recently ordered the TechT bolt (supposedly the lightest bolt available) and a New Designz QEV (Quick Exhaust Valve) both should add to quicker cycle speeds and less air usage. I have STS (Small Tank Syndrome.)
Looking at the TechT website (which is informative on a lot of guns, not just the Smartparts Ion) It seems that once I install these new parts I will have to play around with many of the internal settings to maximize my airflow and other settings. Sounds like another 150$ for test paint and a chrono. Great.I'm rolling the stone uphill, and it just got steeper. funfunfun.

Halloween marked my 1st anniversary of running the sub shop, but besides that it sucked. below you will see a picture of my costume. I went to a costume party at the comedy forum, and I was the only one who showed up. Seriously. And then, to really kill things, they closed the bar half an hour later leaving one angry sober pirate and 140 golden dollars unspent. Lame. That's about all I have to say about that.

I'm sick. My annual sinus SNAFU is happening, and there's nothing I can do but sneeze and feel miserable. That's all for now, though. I have some Image editing to do...
